Rules for using Bantay.

Bantay is a transaction-signal lookup and review service for the Philippine market. By using the service, you agree to use it for lawful verification, good-faith reporting, and correction workflows only.

Service scope

Bantay is an informational review tool. Public results are reviewed risk signals, not findings of guilt, criminal liability, civil liability, or legal entitlement. A clean result also does not guarantee that a transaction is safe.

Acceptable use

  • Use Bantay to review transaction risk before payment or account transfer.
  • Submit reports honestly, in good faith, and only when you can provide supporting proof or a specific basis for follow-up review.
  • Use the appeal flow when a public signal is inaccurate, recycled, resolved, mislinked, or requires re-checking.

What you must not do

  • Submit knowingly false, abusive, or retaliatory reports.
  • Upload malware, executable content, passwords, OTPs, or unnecessary third-party personal data.
  • Use Bantay as proof of guilt, criminal liability, or legal judgment.
  • Attempt to scrape, overload, or abuse the service or moderation process.
  • Use Bantay data to harass, dox, extort, discriminate against, or threaten another person.

Report and evidence responsibilities

If you submit a report or an appeal, you represent that you have a good-faith basis for the submission and the right to provide the materials you upload. Bantay may preserve submissions, hold them from public release, ask for clarification, or remove them when review shows low confidence, duplication, abuse, resolution, or legal risk.

Moderation, corrections, and takedowns

Bantay may hold, reject, hide, correct, resolve, or remove reports based on moderation review, duplicate handling, evidence quality, safety concerns, or successful appeals. Bantay may also suspend access or preserve records when necessary for abuse prevention, security investigation, or legal compliance.

Privacy and legal compliance

Bantay processes personal data according to its Privacy Notice. By using the service, you acknowledge that Bantay may process reports, appeals, evidence, security logs, and moderation records for the purposes described there, including abuse prevention, lawful claims, and compliance with applicable Philippine law.

Availability and reliance

Bantay is provided on an as-available basis. Features, retention rules, moderation thresholds, and public summaries may change as the service matures, provided that Bantay continues to honor applicable legal obligations and published privacy commitments.
